Google Forms guide

Turn a Google Form into a QR people can actually open.

Publish the form for the right audience, copy the responder link rather than the editor address, and test it while signed out.

Google Forms workflow: prepare the public link, export sharp QR artwork, then scan the finished design.

The reliable route

Four steps from link to finished artwork.

  1. 1

    Publish the form

In Google Forms, use Publish and choose who can respond. A form that is still restricted will fail for walk-up scanners.

  2. 2

    Copy the responder link

Use Preview, Published or Share and copy the responder link. Do not copy the address from the editing screen.

  3. 3

    Make the QR

Paste that responder link into a fixed QR tool or create a dynamic QR if you may replace the form later.

  4. 4

    Test outside your account

Open the QR in a private browser window on a phone. Submit one test response and confirm it reaches the right sheet.

Final check

Do not approve the job until these pass.

  • The form says Published
  • Anyone intended to respond has access
  • A test submission appears

Working example

Scan it, then inspect the address.

This sample is deliberately plain. Reliable contrast and a clear border matter more than decoration.

Fixed QR

Good when the link is settled

A fixed QR is fine for a form whose responder link will not change.
