1. Who operates HonestQR
HonestQR is operated by Kian Wanner, a sole trader established in England and trading as HonestQR. Contact support@honestqrcodes.com for support, complaints, cancellations, or legal notices.
2. Service scope
HonestQR provides dynamic QR redirect management for supported QR types, including URLs, hosted files, vCards, social links, WiFi, app links, and landing pages.
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. If you use HonestQR for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to act for it. You are responsible for testing every QR code before printing and for keeping an export of important campaign records.
3. Trial, billing and cancellation
New customers may receive one 30-day Pro trial. A payment method is required, but $0 is charged at signup. The selected monthly or annual Pro plan starts on day 31 unless cancelled first. We send reminder emails 7 days and 1 day before the first charge. Enterprise costs $50 per month, has no trial, and is charged when checkout is completed.
Pro includes up to 50 saved dynamic QR codes and 100,000 scans per UTC calendar month. Enterprise includes up to 500 saved dynamic QR codes and 10 million scans per UTC calendar month. A scan is counted when a request reaches an available dynamic HonestQR redirect. Usage resets at 00:00 UTC on the first day of each month. We do not charge automatic overage fees: when the scan allowance is reached, affected redirects show an allowance notice until the next reset or a higher plan is activated.
Before checkout, we show the price, first charge date, renewal schedule, how to cancel, the refund policy, and what happens to your QR codes. Subscriptions renew until cancelled.
Cancelling a paid plan stops its next renewal. Paid features remain available through the current paid billing period. After Pro ends, editing, analytics, link monitoring, and downloads pause while Pro QR codes keep opening their last saved destinations. After Enterprise ends, Enterprise features and redirects stop. You can cancel from Billing without contacting support.
For Pro only: cancel anytime — your codes keep working. We never switch off your Pro QR codes because you stopped paying.
4. Refunds and consumer cancellation rights
The 30-day trial lets you cancel before the first payment and pay nothing. After a paid billing period begins, HonestQR does not offer discretionary change-of-mind refunds and payments are not prorated when you cancel. Your paid Pro access continues until the end of that billing period.
This policy does not affect rights that cannot legally be excluded, including rights relating to services that are faulty or not supplied as described, applicable distance-selling cancellation rights, and duplicate or incorrect charges. Contact support if you believe a statutory right applies.
UK consumers can cancel the service contract during the first 14 days by using the dashboard or emailing support. Because the HonestQR trial lasts 30 days, cancelling during that period results in no subscription charge. You expressly request access to the digital service during the cancellation period when you start using Pro.
5. Wind-down and 12-month notice
If we ever discontinue the service, we guarantee a minimum of 12 months' notice. All redirects stay live throughout that period, and we'll provide free tools to export or re-point your codes.
Wind-down mode freezes editing and new subscriptions while keeping redirects, account exports, and static fallback files available.
6. Your content and acceptable use
You keep ownership of the destinations, files, logos, text, and other material you provide. You give HonestQR a limited licence to host, process, reproduce, and deliver that material only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service.
You must have the necessary rights to your content and must not use HonestQR for malware, phishing, unlawful material, infringement, deceptive campaigns, unsolicited messaging, or activity that harms the service or another person.
7. Abuse, safety and account termination
Abuse/legal suspension is separate from billing cancellation. Unsafe, unlawful, malicious, or rights-infringing destinations can be blocked or suspended, even if the customer is paid up.
We may limit access where reasonably necessary to protect customers, scanners, HonestQR, or the public. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide a way to contact us. A Pro redirect only stops for safety, abuse, legal reasons, account deletion, a reached scan allowance, or if you delete the code yourself. Enterprise redirects also stop when paid access ends.
8. Availability and liability
We work to keep redirects reliable, but internet, domain, hosting, payment, safety, and third-party destination failures can occur. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing excludes liability where exclusion is unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or non-excludable consumer rights.
For losses that may lawfully be limited, HonestQR's aggregate liability is capped at the fees paid for the affected service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. HonestQR is not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss. These limits do not reduce mandatory rights available to consumers.
9. Changes, governing law and complaints
We may update the service or these terms. Material changes affecting an active subscription will be notified before they take effect. A price change will not apply before notice is given and any consent required by law is obtained.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, but consumers retain any mandatory protections and court rights available where they live.
Send complaints to support@honestqrcodes.com. We aim to acknowledge them promptly and resolve them fairly.
