Before cancelling
A new provider cannot take over the old QR
If the printed QR contains GetQR's short link, GetQR still controls the first redirect. Changing its destination does not transfer that control to HonestQR. Create a new code, replace the old QR image everywhere it appears, and test the replacement before cancelling.

Should I cancel GetQR before making a replacement?
No. First create and scan a new QR, then replace the old QR image in every printed and digital location. An old provider-controlled short link may stop after cancellation even if you changed its destination.
